The Payment Card Settlement is a $5.5-billion antitrust class-action settlement that provides some relief for U.S. merchants after years of paying allegedly inflated Visa and Mastercard interchange fees. Businesses that accepted Visa and/or Mastercard between Jan. 1, 2004 and Jan. 25, 2019 may have been eligible to claim a share of this settlement. Only merchants who submitted a valid claim will get money from the settlement.
